Transparent Monitor Screens

Well, Ollie’s done it again and found a really interesting photoset on Flickr, where people are using the wallpapers on their computers in an original way.
The way I did it (above) was to take a photo of the area behind the computer without the monitor/computer in place. Then take the same photo of the monitor in position (it helps if you have the camera on a tripod). Then in Photoshop place the two images in layers with the one of the monitor ‘in-situ’ on top. Then simply crop the image to the inside boundaries of the monitor.
Once you have this image, simply make it your desktop background and Robert is your father’s brother!
These are the kind of small things that keep us, in the office, happy and smiling.
